KIBI is the educational and cultural branch of the Karmapa International Buddhist Society (KIBS), a charitable organization founded in 2012 in New Delhi and registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 (Registration No. S/RS/SW/06012012). The library & publications unit falls under this umbrella organization. Its purpose is to preserve and render accessible authentic Buddhadharma in general, and the teachings of the Karma Kamtsang tradition in particular.
